From an intimate ceremony at The Lynfred Winery to pizza parlor reception at Robert’s Pizza Company with closest friends + family, this two-day celebration of love was truly magical and awe inspiring. Emily + Parker move to their own beat, and I love them for this.

They’ve had quite the beginning of their love story… in Emily’s words;

After only being together for 4 months, Parker was diagnosed with cancer. 3 surgeries and 2 rounds of chemo later, we are on the other side and grappling with what’s next. Having gone through what we did so early on, it’s clear to us that we’re life partners.

I had chills down my spine and tears in my eyes when I read this in their intro email to me. Wow. I was incredibly honored and touched that #TeamParker wanted to hire me to capture this incredibly special moment for them. And I was so ready to do so.

Fast forward to their wedding weekend!

Day 1

This candlelit ceremony was held at a beautiful winery in Roselle, IL just before sunset (love me some golden hour light!). The guests included their immediate family (the closest people to there hearts).

Day Two…

Began with some special getting ready photos with their beloved kitties, some stunning portraits on the walk to their reception, and a celebration with family and friends at the most amazing pizza place (yes it was some of the best pizza I’ve had in Chicago). This wedding reception was also a going-away party for Emily + Parker since they have plans to move to Arizona at the end of the month!
