If you’re dreaming of a wedding venue that blends timeless elegance with historic charm, The Lightner Museum in Saint Augustine, Florida, is a true gem. On May 4th, 2024, I had the absolute joy of capturing the unforgettable wedding of Elizabeth Posey and Thomas Clark at this iconic location, and it was nothing short of magical.

Elizabeth, an actress originally from Ponte Vedra now living in Los Angeles, and Thomas, a musician and telecommunications professional from Los Angeles, brought their vibrant personalities and large Irish Catholic families together for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. With over 200 guests in attendance, their wedding was the perfect blend of romance and grandeur.

The ceremony took place in the museum’s romantic pool hall, surrounded purely lit by soft candlelight. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical. A choir sang at the end of the ceremony, adding an ethereal beauty that left everyone in awe.

After the ceremony, I had the pleasure of photographing family portraits and couple portraits while the planning team transformed the space for the reception. The room was breathtaking—the high, arched ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and abundance of candles created an ambiance of pure romance. Soft blush and ivory floral arrangements added a timeless touch that perfectly complemented the venue’s historic charm.

The reception was a true celebration of love and joy. One of my favorite moments was Elizabeth’s outfit change before the end of the night, followed by a surprise performance where she sang a song to her husband. The evening concluded with a magical sparkler exit down the back staircase of The Lightner Museum—a picture-perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
